Portsmouth Residents – Your Tower

The Spinnaker Tower is the centrepiece of the £88 million 'Renaissance of Portsmouth Harbour' redevelopment project, which is supported by the Millennium Commission.

The Spinnaker Tower has been designed as an icon for the future of Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. It is tall, elegant and sculptural in design, with two large white sweeping arcs that give the Tower its distinctive spinnaker sail design, reflecting the maritime history of Portsmouth.

The Spinnaker Tower is a flagship building for Portsmouth and encourages tourists and development into the region, creating jobs and attracting events and revenue into the area, in turn developing Portsmouth and the surrounding areas for you, the local residents.

How to receive a resident’s discount

As a local resident, you are entitled to receive a discount off the entry prices to the Spinnaker Tower.

Postcodes that apply for a resident's discount are as follows:

  • PO1 - PO6 inclusive
  • PO7 5AT, PO7 5AU, PO7 5AX, PO7 5AY, PO7 5BA, PO7 5BS, PO7 5BT, PO7 5BU, PO7 5AZ
  • PO12 & PO13 inclusive

To receive your resident's discount, you must provide the following two proofs of residency at the point of purchase:

Identification in the form of:

  • photo ID with address or
  • a utility bill/authorised letter with a name and address on it or
  • a valid Portsmouth Leisure Card

and

  • a cross-referenced bank/membership/store card with your name and signature. You may be asked for a signature.

Discounts will be available to the claimant and his/her family living within the same house up to six people. The discount does not apply to visiting family. This discount cannot be claimed in conjunction with any other offer.

Claimant must be present and purchase all tickets at the time of entrance.
