Celebrating 20 Years of Spinnaker Tower

This weekend marks a major milestone as Spinnaker Tower turns 20 and we’re celebrating in true Portsmouth style! Since first opening its doors in 2005, the Tower has become one of the South Coast’s most iconic landmarks, welcoming millions of visitors to enjoy its breathtaking views, unique experiences, and unforgettable moments.

To mark the occasion, we’re turning back time with special one-weekend-only prices,  just as they were on our opening day in 2005!
On Friday 17th – Sunday 19th October 2025, visitors can enjoy entry to Spinnaker Tower for:

Adult: £4.95 | Child: £4.00 | Student/Senior: £4.50 | Family: £16.00

It’s the perfect opportunity to revisit the Tower, relive favourite memories and celebrate two decades of stories beyond the view.

 Exhibition: From Vision to Icon

On View Deck 1, you’ll find a special 20th Anniversary Exhibition showcasing the fascinating story of how Spinnaker Tower came to life.
Featuring archival images from the News, Portsmouth  and rarely seen photographs from the tower’s construction in 2005, the exhibition takes visitors through a timeline of the build, from the first foundations to the opening day and remarkable facts about the engineering, materials, and design that shaped the Tower

Tower Talks: 20 Years of Spinnaker Tower

As part of the celebrations, we’re also hosting a special series of Tower Talks, led by our brilliant team,  guest speakers and local historians. These sessions explore the Tower’s significance in Portsmouth’s story, from its ambitious beginnings to its role today as a symbol of the city’s pride and progress.
