Spinnaker Tower hosts 2025 Hampshire Poppy Appeal Launch

Join us on Thursday 23rd October as Spinnaker Tower proudly hosts the official launch of the Hampshire Poppy Appeal 2025,  a powerful and unmissable morning honouring our Armed Forces community.

From 10:30am, the event will come to life with a stirring live performance from the HM Royal Marines Band, followed by an unforgettable moment as Royal Marines abseil 100 metres down the Tower to deliver the very first poppies of this year’s appeal.

Set against Portsmouth’s historic maritime skyline, this spectacular sight will mark the beginning of the 2025 Poppy Appeal, a campaign that continues to provide vital support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families.

Hosting the Hampshire Poppy Appeal launch is an honour for Spinnaker Tower, a landmark deeply connected to the city’s military heritage.

Come and show your support for the Royal British Legion and the incredible work they do across Hampshire and beyond.
