A challenge that will test your nerve to the limits despite being an extreme activity, abseiling is open to people of all ages, fitness levels, and doesn’t require any previous skills!
There’s no higher abseil in Portsmouth – and no greater reward, you’ll be met with an incredible view of Portsmouth Harbour at a breath-taking 100 metres above sea level.
This experience is available to book individually or as a group challenge for up to 40 people as a corporate event, Hen & Stag groups or Charity Day.
If you are a corporate group or charity – please email bookings@spinnakertower.co.uk or call 02392 857520 option 3 to enquire about group abseil bookings.
What to Expect!
When you arrive you will be taken to the podium level where our expert abseilers will kit you out in your safety gear and harness and give your safety briefing.
Our team will then take you in the high speed lift travelling at 4 metres per second to the viewing platform. You will be guided to the external hatch door that leads out of the Spinnaker Tower at 100 metres. Your harness will be attached to one of the two safety lines you will rappel.
Take a moment as you sit back on your harness and give a wave before you make your decent, go against all your natural instincts and trust the rope! Take in the views across Portsmouth, The Solent and Isle of Wight.
