Spinnaker Tower Turns 20 – Share Your Memories of the Build!

This October, Spinnaker Tower celebrates a very special milestone – our 20th anniversary! Since opening in 2005, the Tower has become one of the most recognisable landmarks on the South Coast, welcoming millions of visitors to enjoy its breath-taking views across Portsmouth, the Solent, and beyond.

As part of the celebrations, we’re taking a step back in time and shining a light on the incredible journey that brought the Tower to life. The construction was an extraordinary feat of engineering, and it was only made possible thanks to the hard work, dedication, and vision of the people who helped to build it.

We Want to See Your Photos

Do you remember the Tower rising above the Portsmouth skyline back in 2005? Were you involved in the construction, or perhaps you captured a moment as the Tower took shape? We’re inviting the public to share their photos and memories of the Tower being built. Whether it’s a snapshot from your camera roll, a treasured family memory, or even a story about working on site – we’d love to see it. Selected photos and stories will form part of a special exhibition on our main viewing deck throughout October, allowing visitors to look back at the Tower’s journey from blueprint to icon.
